This trip I used a size 14 "stubby chubby" but next time I might size up to weed out some of the smaller fish (as soon as I stopped the clock and started fishing my way down, I hooked into a nice brook trout and then a nice little brown). There is a stretch of private property the trail passes through but it is clearly marked where it starts and ends, so please be respectful of that. I would also highly recommend focusing on fishing past the private, but there are fish to be caught before it too. Finally on the trail, there will be a fork right around the 3 mile mark (see picture) the right hand will take you up and away from the river and into the National Park and some awesome lakes (perhaps a future FKF...) I went left this time and ran until I hit the 5k ish mark.
