Brown Trout

There is a stretch of private property the trail passes through but it is clearly marked where it starts and ends, so please be respectful of that. I would also highly recommend focusing on fishing past the private, but there are fish to be caught before it too.
From the Dunraven trailhead, a nice small stream follows the trail the whole way up and the fish are plentiful if you can figure them out. There is a stretch of private property the trail passes through but it is clearly marked where it starts and ends, so please be respectful of that. I would also highly recommend focusing on fishing past the private, but there are fish to be caught before it too. Finally on the trail, there will be a fork right around the 3 mile mark (see picture) the right hand will take you up and away from the river and into the National Park and some awesome lakes (perhaps a future FKF...) I went left this time and ran until I hit the 5kish mark.
A variety of trout species exist in this stretch of the North Fork Big Thompson including rainbow, brown, and brook trout.
The following table(s) display the Fastest Known Fish times for the route by style. Want to add your own FKF Attempt? Use the link below.
